Congress III
July 5-7,1892
The Third Black Catholic Congress was held in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. A committee was formed to draw up a constitution for a
permanent organization. Congress goes on record favoring "education of
the races" as well as supporting the provisions of the Brussels Treaty
against the slave trade in Africa. |
