Each of the new one-week catechetical seminars is designed to provide ministerial training, as well as ongoing enrichment, support, and networking for catechists and/or DREs (including IBCS alumna). Each seminar will be conducted in conjunction with one of the Institute's Black Religious Expression seminars, and a one-week Core Course (i.e., Scripture, Black Catholic History, Black Spirituality, etc.). Enrollment in the catechetical program requires enrollment in a BRE seminar and one Core Course. 25 students maximum in each of the catechetical seminars.

*Students desiring certification are not required to complete all three one-week seminars in a single summer. However, certification requires completion of all three of the one-week seminars within 2-4 summers, followed by completion of a project and the three-week seminar.
