The Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life

The Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, launched in 2001, seeks to promote a deeper understanding of issues at the intersection of religion and public affairs.

The Forum pursues its mission by delivering timely, impartial information to national opinion leaders, including government officials and journalists. As a nonpartisan, non-advocacy organization, the Forum does not take positions on policy debates.

The Forum functions as both an information clearinghouse and a town hall. As a clearinghouse it tracks and aggregates news and conducts independent research, including surveys, legal backgrounders, reports, books and Q&A interviews. As a town hall, it provides a neutral venue for discussion. In these roles, the Forum serves as an important information resource for political leaders, journalists, scholars and public interest groups. http://pewforum.org/

Philanthropy News Digest, A Service of the Foundation Center

Philanthropy News Digest (PND), a daily news service of the Foundation Center, is a compendium, in digest form, of philanthropy-related articles and features culled from print and electronic media outlets nationwide.

Published every Tuesday, each PND abstract summarizes the content of, or from, an original article, press or news release, or grantmaker Web site. Each abstract includes a citation of the original news source, which readers of the Digest can use to read the original Web site, or to find a copy of the original article (if abstracted from a print source) through a library or a document delivery service.

The RFP (Request for Proposals) Bulletin is published every Friday afternoon. Each RFP listing provides a brief overview of a current funding opportunity offered by a foundation or other grantmaking organization. Interested applicants should read the full RFP at the grantmaker's Web site or contact the grantmaker directly for complete program guidelines and eligibility requirements before submitting a proposal to that grantmaker. http://foundationcenter.org/pnd/info/about.jhtml

Rachel's Vineyard

Rachel's Vineyard weekends for healing after abortion are offered throughout the year in locations across the United States and Canada, with additional sites in Portugal, Australia and New Zealand. We also offer a 13-week support group model for Rachel's Vineyard. Rachel's Vineyard is a ministry of Priests for Life. The program is an opportunity to examine your abortion experience, identify the ways that the loss has impacted you in the past and present, and helps to acknowledge any unresolved feelings that many individuals struggle with after abortion. Because of the emotional numbness and secrecy that often surrounds an abortion experience, conflicting emotions both during and after the event may remain unresolved. These buried feelings can surface later and may be symptoms of post abortion trauma. www.rachelsvineyard.org

Ramah International

Ramah international is a non-profit ministry whose mission is three-fold: Directly assist those hurting from PAS through communication, resources and local referrals, Raise the level of awareness about PAS and the needs of individuals who have experienced abortion; Provide PAS resources, research and training programs necessary to mobilize and equip "the church" to reach out and help those affected by abortion so that post abortive individuals can become involved in helping others who are considering or have experienced abortion. Scriptural Basis - The Need for Ramah International is based on Jeremiah 31:15: "A voice is heard in Ramah - mourning and great weeping. Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted because her children are no more." http://www.ramahinternational.org

The Real Presence Eucharistic Education and Adoration Association

Launched in December 2006, the magazine is published six times a year, as well as one special show issue in November. Rejuvenate has won three Azbee Awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors. Competing against publications around the country, the magazine won a Bronze Award for best new magazine and another Bronze Award for best new publication design in the 2007 competition. In 2008, Rejuvenate won a Silver Award in the Southeast region for an article about the groundbreaking Baptist New Covenant meeting. http://www.rejuvenatemeetings.com/tag/meeting-planners/

Road to Cana

Road To Cana believes it takes three to make a successful marriage that lasts a lifetime. Christ is the third and primary person of every Christian marriage. Without Christ, your marriage must rely only on the strength of the two individuals, and that always means trouble. Just as at the marriage feast of Cana, all marriages need Christ as the close friend invited to the feast and able to perform miracles when the wine runs out (which it inevitably does from time to time).

Road To Cana was established to help single Catholics recognize and resolve what is potentially keeping themselves from becoming the spouse they are called to be. To become what we call "marriage material". Marriage is as much about personal character and human virtue as it is about living your Catholic faith and being holy. Without the former, there is no credibility for the latter. You are best prepared for marriage by working at better preparing yourself to meet that special person you seek and pray for. Preparing for marriage happens a long time before this person ever comes along. We will help you to discover what might be hurting your chances of meeting the right person, and how to become what you "need" to become for your future married life. Our resources and programs will help you to become a better "catch" so when that right person comes along, you will be ready to act. Please feel free to contact us with your questions! http://www.roadtocana.com/

Solid Ground

Solid Ground is a Franciscan Ministry of evangelization and outreach to African American families. It is rooted in the belief that since we are created in God's image we are called to faithful service to share God's abundant life. The message from Solid Ground Ministry to the Black Community is to choose life and reject all forms of violence. Solid Ground Franciscan Ministry always seeks to root those it serves in dignity, faith, and strength.

Solid Ground views evangelization as an on-going ministry. Therefore, the programs that are created continuously evolve as needs arise. The main thrust is always to choose life and to reject anything, which opposes life. Areas of rejection may include combating such things as hunger, poverty, drugs, homelessness, health crises like HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, racism, miseducation, damage to the environment, or armed conflict.

As Franciscans the Eucharist is at the heart of our mission at Solid Ground. For we, who have encountered Christ in the Eucharist, are sent to bring others to meet the Lord. This is accomplished by the love we experience in the Eucharist and the love that Jesus commands that we share with one another.

Above all, Solid Ground's mission is to uphold the sanctity of human life from conception to the natural end of life. It exists to uphold the inherent dignity of the human person. http://www.solidgroundministry.com/

It reveals the mystery behind a small group of innovative American women who helped shape the nation's social and cultural landscape.

Xavier University

There are 102 historically Black colleges and 253 Catholic colleges in the United States, yet only one is both Black and Catholic. That distinction belongs to Xavier University of Louisiana, which strives to combine the best attributes of both its faith and its culture. Located in New Orleans, the small liberal arts college dates back to 1915, when St. Katharine Drexel and the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament founded the coeducational secondary school from which it evolved. St. Katharine, supported by the interest of a substantial inheritance from her father, banker-financier Francis Drexel, founded and staffed many institutions throughout the U.S. in an effort to help educate Native Americans and Blacks. She was canonized by Pope John Paul II in October, 2000.
