Featured Article: “Mercy Is the Lord’s Most Powerful Message!” - Do you remember where you were and what you were doing when Jorge Mario Bergoglio, S.J., the Cardinal Archbishop of Buenos Aries, Argentina, was elected Pope Francis, the Bishop of Rome and 265th Successor of St. Peter?

If you were in the continental United States, chances are you were at work (or school), perhaps finishing lunch. I was in my office, having completed editing an article I had written on the papacy only a few hours before.

"I have become stronger in my faith since being confirmed last year, and this congress really put a different aspect on what we as Youth are to be about in our Faith. The workshops were awesome, the revival really touch me lead by Josh Johnson. I was also asked to be a part of the mass, and I walked along side a seminarian. I was at times speechless, all the priests, bishops, seminarians, nuns, wow, is all I can say." - Braylan Guynn
"It was indeed an honor to be able to present for the first time a Youth Pastoral Plan & being able to share ideas about our faith with other youth across the United States. " - Kyleigh Alanna C.

"I am from Los Angeles California and I visit my family every summer and they are all Catholic. I was raised in a different denomination and I was invited to be a part of the Youth Ministry from St. Rita Catholic Church in Indianapolis, IN. and attend this Conference. My experience at the NBCC was great; I got to meet new people that were my age, from different cities. I also have a new found knowledge about Catholicism and what they do." - Cheyenne S. Guynn
