Experience Congress X on the Web!

Visit the New NBCC Media CenterCheck out the newly developed National Black Catholic Congress (NBCC) Media Center and experience Congress X on the web! Pictures, music with video clips, and interviews of the Congress X experience in Buffalo, New York are available to remind you of your participation at our national event. For those of you who were not able to join us, you will be able to see, feel and live the experience through the eyes of our presenters, musicians, choirs, liturgical dancers and attendees. Take a moment and feel the heartbeat of the drums, listen to choirs give praise to God, watch the bishops as they celebrate the liturgies and participate in Eucharistic Adoration, listen to young adults and adults talk about family life and watch the youth "do their own thing" in mega sessions. This web site is created by black Catholics for all Catholics and it is our hope that you will be as excited as we are about this new venture. Watch us in the coming year as we plan to add new and improved designs to our web site. Special thanks to Fr. Jim Pawlicki, SVD, Christopher Boudy, Jr., black Catholics from the dioceses of Brooklyn and Philadelphia who have provided pictures of Congress X to share with you.

An Attitude of Gratitude

"Praise God from whom all blessings flow, praise Him all creatures here below, praise Him above ye heavenly host, praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost."

The National Black Catholic Congress (NBCC) staff and Board of Trustees wishes to express its sincere gratitude to each person involved in the planning of the Tenth National Black Catholic Congress held in Buffalo, New York, July 12-15, 2007.

Much gratitude to Bishop Edward Kmiec, the host diocese of Buffalo with its Congress teams; the planners and committee members of the youth, young adult, and adult tracks; Fr. Raymond Harris, Jr. and Danielle Charles, facilitators for Congress X; Fr. Stephen Thorne and Fr. Ron Sadjak, planners for the liturgies; musicians and choirs, NBCC leadership commission groups, bishops, general session and workshop presenters, the Buffalo Convention Center staff and Visitor's Bureau, and all the people who prayed, offered holy hours and rosaries, volunteered and provided a tremendous amount of support before, during and after the Congress, and for others who spent quiet moments with God on our behalf so that we could experience a very spiritual and informative event. I am deeply grateful to all of you.

We are most grateful to our brothers and sisters who attended the Tenth Congress and shared in this journey with us. We could not have had this event without your participation. We enjoyed you and it is our hope that you left the conference with new ideas and a greater appreciation of our Catholic Faith.

Many blessings to you, your family, and your ministry. We hope to see you again!

Yours truly,

Valerie E. Washington
Executive Director
