Living as a Sacrament: A visible sign of God's Invisible Grace
National Black Catholic Congress X: Young Adult Conference

Recognizing that God's invisible grace, power, and mercy are always in our midst, the National Black Catholic Congress X - Young Adult Committee invites you to attend National Black Catholic Congress in Buffalo, NY, the summer of 2007. We will be engaging in spirit filled and focused dialogue in order to establish our presence, share our innovative ideas, and display our talents for our church.

In order to meet the needs of the changing times, Young Adults of the Black Catholic Church must stand and seek out new ways to impact our church community. The Young Adults attending the National Black Catholic Congress X, in Buffalo, New York, on July 12th through 15th, will be empowered by the Sacraments, blessed by the Holy Spirit, and encouraged by one another. This Congress will be unlike any other, for the first time the questions, comments, and concerns of the Black Catholic Church's young adults will be discussed, discerned, and addressed with special attention and care.

Consequently, our discussion will be approached in a manner that is straight out of the 21st Century. Be prepared to reflect on your personal talents, explore new and creative ways to be involved in our church communities, and to develop a network of like minded individuals that will support you through the struggles of becoming a Black Catholic Adult in today's society. This will be accomplished by standing on the shoulders of the Adults, reaching back to assist the Youth, and accepting the fact that we must assume leadership roles in our church communities, in order for it to survive.

The National Black Catholic Young Adult Committee asks that you allow God's invisible grace to guide our hearts, minds, and feet to Buffalo, so that we may be a visible sign to the world of what it means to be Truly Black and Whole Heartedly Catholic.
