Draft Youth Track Outline
Event Bi-Line

E. "Sacred Movement and Dance" (Ayisha Morgan Lee)

Movement, dance and body expression have been extremely important to the worship experience of young black males and females for hundreds of centuries. This participatory session will explore the ways we can immerse our minds and bodes fully into worship. Participants must come prepared to engage in active stretching exercises, dances and movement. Proper and comfortable shoes and (appropriate, non-revealing) clothing are required.

(Offered twice as a breakout. There will be an additional rehearsal in-between scheduled Congress events.) OPTIONAL: Interested participants will perform a sacred movement during a General Session

F. "Respond To Your True Calling" (Rev. Ricardo Bailey)

Your vocation is the way God intends for you to live your life. Perhaps you have considered being a priest, sister, deacon or religious brother. Maybe you want a career in Business, Health Care, Law Enforcement, Entertainment or some other profession. Then there's marriage and single life that are also Christian vocations. Whatever your true calling is, do you hear it? Are you preparing for it? Are you able to answer? "Have you or any of your peers gotten lost by listening to the wrong call?" This session will help participants to examine ways we can live prosperous and fulfilling lives blessed by God. Participants will also leave with new ideas for helping peers to be the best they can be.

(Offered twice)

G. "The Wonders of A Young Woman of God" (Cathy Green-Miner)
"The Measure of A Young Man of God" (Brian Greenfield)

Young Black Catholics have a responsibility to act in their own best interest and to live for the good of the community and the Church. Since the teenage years are a rehearsal for adulthood, one's decisions, about associates, friends, dating, sexual practices, and leadership are major factors to be considered. These two simultaneous sessions, one for all-males and one for all-females, will address these urgent issues and others as well. These intellectually, spiritually and emotionally challenging presentations will offer youth opportunities to recommit themselves to live as signs that God is alive and working within them.

(Offered once on Friday afternoon)

H. "Engaged To Be Divorced: Breaking Up Family Break-Ups" ( ? ? ? )

The decisions Black Catholic teenagers make today about relationships have a direct affect on their family lives later on in adulthood. Therefore, this session will examine the attitudes and conditions that lead to crushes, infatuation, solid friendship, heartbreak, true love, sex, adultery, abuse, separation, divorce, and prosperous marriages. Young participants will be equipped with
