ON, THEY HAVE NO WINE! Reflections on the Importance of Devotion to Mary

There is a growing trend in some Catholic institutions/communities that should be a cause for alarm to anyone entrusted with the care of souls and particularly with the spiritual formation of the youth. Saying Yes to God

I ask every member of the community to also help in the promotion of vocations. You can help by being supportive, not only of those who are beginning the discernment process, but also be supportive of those of us in our formation years.

  • Offer some words of encouragement. It is always nice to hear that someone is thinking about and praying for us.

We need more men and women to answer the call from God. Everyday say a prayer for vocations. Use any prayer you know, if you don't know one here is one you can say:

Jesus, High Priest and Redeemer forever, we beg you to call young men and women to your service as priests and religious. May they be inspired by the lives of dedicated Priests, Brothers and Sisters. Give to parents the grace of generosity and trust toward you and their children so that their sons and daughters may be helped to choose their vocations in life with wisdom and freedom.

Lord, you told us that "the harvest indeed is great but the laborers are few. Pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvests to send laborers into his harvest." We pray particularly for those called to serve as Priests, Brothers and Sisters; those whom you have called, those you are calling now, and those you will call in the future. May they be open and responsive to the call of serving your people.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
