
Dr. Anne Streaty Wimberly is Professor of Christian Education at
Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta Georgia, where
she has been for the last 12 years. At ITC, she is also Director of
the Youth Hope-Builders Academy, a youth theology program funded by
the Lilly Endowment, Inc. Dr. Anne, as she is called by her students,
received the Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Ohio State
University and a Master's Degree in Music from Boston University,
where she also undertook doctoral course-work in music and educational
foundations. She holds a Master of Theological Studies Degree from
Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, a Graduate Certificate in
Gerontology from Georgia State University, and the Ph.D. Degree in
Educational Leadership from Georgia State University. She pursued
post-doctoral studies at Claremont School of Theology in its Institute
for Religion and Wholeness, now called the Clinebell Institute.
