Neighbor-To-Neighbor:
Outreach To Evangelization!!

After the walk is completed, we again meet at St. Brigid Church. Over a light lunch, Mary Jackson, leads a group discussion to determine if any difficulties were encountered, to gather statistics as to the exact number of neighbor visits, to identify any issue or concern which requires follow-up - prayer requests, specific request for police intervention, etc. and to encourage the participants to spread the word of our outreach program to members of our Faith Communities.

Those who participate in our monthly Neighbor-to-Neighbor Project have wholeheartedly embraced this positive activity. Our numbers of walkers and prayers grow each month. Spending time on a Saturday morning visiting with your neighbors is time spent visiting with God. Spending time on a Saturday morning praying for your neighbors is time spent opening your own heart and mind to the wonders of God.

Evangelization is not about "converting" someone, it is about spreading the love of Jesus; it is acknowledging that Jesus in a major source of joy in your life; it is sharing this knowledge with others. It is very rewarding to realize that by your smile and friendly "Hello, I'm your neighbor from St. Brigid and I care about you", you can make a difference. We should all be about the Lord's work: doing what we can, when we can, where we can.
